OS Mastermap Topography Layer

The main large scale vector basemapping product supplied in GZ format. Although not mandatory, a third party data translator is required for this product if it is to be easily styled and set up for use in a GIS.

1:50 000 Scale Colour Raster

A very useful map product for landscape scale mapping - the digital version of OS Landranger.

1:25 000 Scale Colour Raster

Perhaps one of the most popular layers available - mainly because it is the same as that used in the OS Explorer (yellow) maps. Therefore people are familiar with using this type of map, and it includes Rights of Way.

1:10 000 Scale Raster

This is the raster map backdrop with the most detailled information available - perhaps most usefully, street names are shown on the mapping.

OS Code Point

Code-Point provides an exact location for each postcode unit, and is useful for mapping of postcoded statistics.

OS Code Point with Polygons

The same data as above, but instead of a point location, a polygon is shown which represents the extent of the postcode polygon area.
